Dear Programme

Read between the Lines!

EDIFY’s weekly D.E.A.R program (Drop Everything and Read) transcends the conventional notion of a sit-and-read experience, offering students an enriching literary journey. This transformative program has redefined the very essence of reading. With a library boasting an extensive collection of nearly 15,500 books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and eBooks, our young readers enjoy a plethora of choices.

The D.E.A.R program is more than just a reading session; it provides teachers with a structured opportunity to connect with each student over time, assess progress, and tailor instruction to individual needs. The program leverages the expertise of homeroom facilitators to guide students through a diverse selection of genres, titles, and time periods. From cherished classics by Elliot and Austen to contemporary fiction for young adults, our students embark on age-appropriate reading assignments that cater to their interests and preferences.

Incorporating book reviews, reports, and conferencing, the D.E.A.R Program encourages students to share their reading experiences and articulate their personal perspectives on the material. This program inspires within our students a profound and enduring love for reading and literature, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. The D.E.A.R Program at EDIFY is a catalyst for fostering a lifelong appreciation for the written word.
